Sophie Krupp, Doula
Sophie graduated from Brandeis University in 2012 with a degree in Health Science and Sculpture. She learned about midwifery care during her senior year of college while working on her thesis on human breast milk. The midwifery model of care recognizes pregnancy and birth as normal life processes and respects the whole person, which is why Sophie feels drawn to it. She loves being present for people during vulnerable transitions and the opportunity to help families as they grow!
She became certified doula, trained as a birth assistant at The Farm in TN, and became a prenatal yoga instructor in 2012. She started working with Health Foundations Birth Center in 2013. Her favorite part about working at Health Foundations is learning from the knowledgeable and deeply caring staff and patients. Sophie is currently working on obtaining her Certified Professional Midwife license, and her certification to become a Women’s Herbalist Educator. When she’s not at the birth center, Sophie loves working on her sculptures, scuba diving, walking in the woods, and spending time with friends and family.
