The ‘Morning Sickness Cure’ Salad

Try this yummy and low-calorie option to combat morning sickness during pregnancy. With stomach calming ingredients like watermelon and mint, this salad is sure to settle your stomach and satisfy your taste buds.  

Ingredients:

1/2 of a small red onion, thinly sliced and halved 

2 tablespoons of fresh lime juice

1 tablespoon of extra-virgin olive oil

6 Kalamata olives, pitted and chopped

1 1/2 cups ripe seedless watermelon, cut into thin triangles

1 1/2 cups of loosely packed arugula

1/4 cup of chopped fresh mint 

1/3 cup crumbled pasteurized feta cheese

Directions:

1) In a large bowl, combine the onion, olive oil, lime juice and olives and mix until onions are evenly coated. Let mixture stand for 15 minutes.

2) Add arugula, watermelon, mint and feta and toss.

3) Serve immediately and enjoy!
